Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom – Theatrical Trailer
August 1st, 2009 | by admin |GusHammond asked:
“The man in the hat is back…”. Kate Capshaw, now married to director Steven Spielberg, co-stars as Indiana’s love interest. Generally credited (along with “Gremlins”) with the creation of the PG-13 rating, as many felt the scenes of violence in both movies were too much for a PG rating, but not enough for an R rating. The heart pulling scenes are interesting because that was done by the ancient mayans and aztecs. But it was never done in India….they had problems with Suttee

I liked the first bit in the warehouse and the nuclear bomb. There are quite a few good elements in it.

Those facts are true, but out context. Spielberg agreed to do it once he heard the idea of interdementional beings instead of aliens. He read Frank Darabont’s script and felt it was right…though I read it and it was awful. David Koepp’s script is much more like Indy. For example, Darabont’s script featured a scene where there was a snake larger than life and it swallowed Indy whole!
I think that Indy 4 was well executed and a great movie.

hey, the aliens was lucas’ idea, not spielberg’s. the first time, both spielberg AND ford disagreed about it, but spielberg’s son asked when the next IJ will be made so he had no choice but to go along with lucas

thanks to this movie, when I moved to american (I’m an Indian)..lot of my friends from college asked me if I eat monkey brain!!…80% of Indians are vegetarians….I remember the Indian govt. denied permit for Spielberg to film the movie in India and they filmed it in Srilanka instead….
